You don’t need another quiz.
Nor another YouTube series hawking “6 steps to change your life in 30 days.”
You’re past that. You’re past the books, the podcasts, the motivational videos.
You’re a top performer. The kind of person who takes action when something’s breaking. You’ve been seeking answers.
And you know you need to stop journaling about the same goddamn thing for weeks, months, even years. The tension, the frustration, the feeling of needing more, maybe even seeing a future you think is possible—while doubting your ability to pull it off.
If you’re reading this (and you are), allow me the rope to make a few assumptions:
You’re paid well: too well to just leave if you want to keep your current standard of living.
You have a family that depends on your income, your insurance, your stability. You’ve accumulated expertise in something (or multiple somethings) over 10, 15, 20 years—but you’re not sure how to make it work for you instead of someone else.
This makes you a competent person who’s been playing the wrong game.
It’s not your fault. It’s what you were told to do. For a while, it worked. It’s a well-trodden path because there’s a ton of people on it. You ‘did everything right.’
But it doesn’t feel right. And while it might not be your fault, it’s your responsibility.
Just like you learned your first game, you can learn a new one, now, to launch your 2nd Act.
Starting this is a small, tentative, awkward step towards clarity. By the end of it, you’ll have a no-bullshit assessment of where you are right now, and a glimpse of a different path.
